Debt Consolidation Calculator
Compare several existing payments with one proposed payment.
What Does the Debt Consolidation Calculator Do?
The Debt Consolidation Calculator adds up to three current monthly payments and compares the total with one proposed payment, showing the monthly difference. It is a first look at whether combining obligations could change monthly cash flow.

Inputs, Results and Assumptions
What You Enter
- Payment 1, 2 and 3: current monthly payments on the debts being considered. Use 0 for unused rows.
- Proposed payment: the single payment under the consolidation structure being tested.
What the Results Show
- Current payments: the sum of the three entered payments.
- Proposed payment, repeated for reference.
- Monthly difference: current total minus proposed payment. A positive number is a lower monthly payment.
Assumptions and Limits
- Only monthly payment is compared. Balances, rates, remaining terms, fees and total interest are not included.
- A lower monthly payment can come from a longer term and may increase total cost.
- Whether a consolidation is available depends on the business, the debts and the funding source.
The numbers pre-filled in the fields are sample values so the tool shows a result on first load. They are not CMCC rates, quotes or offers.
Debt Consolidation Calculator FAQs
Does a lower monthly payment mean consolidation is a good idea?
Not by itself. Compare the total cost, the new term, any prepayment costs on the old debts and fees on the new financing, in addition to the monthly payment.
What does CMCC review in a consolidation request?
CMCC looks at the existing obligations, cash flow, collateral and timing to identify structures that may fit. See the cash flow and debt guide and Commercial Lending.
Can I compare refinancing a single loan instead?
Yes. The Refinance Relief calculator compares a current loan with a proposed refinance of the same balance.
